Danish Atlas has won the 3rd Lyallpur National Men Squash Championship held here at Chenab Club after beating his opponent Farhan Mahbub by 0-3 sets. The championship started from December 2 ended today (December 8) in which 147 squash players from all over the country participated. Renowned Squash player Gogi Alaudin was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony.
DO Sports Tariq Nazir, Championship Organizer Mamun Khan, President Zonal Squash Association Rana Gulam Dastgir and a large number of squash lovers were also present on the occasion. Chief Guest distributed the trophies, shields and cash prizes among the position holders and officials. He lauded the efforts of DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and sports department of city district government for holding squish championship which was being held from the last three years. He said that the establishment of Toorsum Khan Squash Academy by the district administration at Al Fatah Sports Complex was appreciable and significant steps for the development and promotion of squash game. The Organizer of the Championship Mamun Khan thanked DCO Noorul Amin and the chief guest Gogi Alaudin for providing comfortable facilities to the players for successful holding of the championship.
