Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved 24 development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 16.2519 billion. These schemes were approved in the 17th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included: Water Supply Pipeline from Kudwala to Banna Post-Cholistan, Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs 652.06 million, construction of Nullahs from Sublime Chowk to Uggoki More to Sahowala Bridge to Syphon Nullah Aik Silakot at the cost of Rs 394.111 million, Sewerage/Drainage Scheme Malikwal City District M.B Din at the cost of Rs 237.200 million, Development of Public Park at main boulevard Gulberg and Ferozpur road Lahore at the cost of Rs 210.421 million, Establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) and Hiring of Consultant for: I. Construction of General Hospital for Specialised Facilities at Murree. (PC-II), II. Rehabilitation of Samli Sanatorium Hospital and Establishment of Medical College, Murree. (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 4000.000 million, Capacity Building of Emergency Services in Punjab (Phase-II) at the cost of Rs 1028.016 million, Construction of Bridge Over River Ravi for Metro Bus System at the cost of Rs 664.051 million, Construction of road from Saggian Chowk (Al-Rehman Chowk) to G.T.
