The first Convocation of Shalamar Medical & Dental College was held recently inside the premises of the college. 83 passed-out graduates awarded degrees during the convocation. The Chief Guest Syed Babar Ali, a renowned businessman and social entrepreneur distributed medals among the shining stars. The first position holder of the University of Health Sciences Iqra Arshad awarded degree and Gold Medal by the Chief Guest.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences Major General Professor Muhammad Aslam (Retd) also addressed the convocation. The trustee, Shahid Hussain said that Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences has been providing the quality healthcare services to the population of Lahore and outskirts since 1978 and now preparing the doctors and nursing staff on merit basis. The Principal Shalamar Medical & Dental College, Professor M. Zahid Bashir congratulated the graduates.
Chairman Board of Trustees Chaudhry Ahmad Saeed and Chief Executive Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences Brigadier Anis Ahmed (Retd), faculty, Executive Director Shalamar Hospital Professor Ali Kazim, doctors and parents of the students were also attended the convocation.-PR
