Professor Dr Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed has assumed charge as Vice Chancellor of Capital University of Science & Technology, Islamabad. After awarding federal charter Mohammad Ali Jinnah University now will render services in Capital University of Science & Technology. Professor Dr Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed has now an honour for being its first vice chancellor. He received the PhD degree in Microelectronics from the University of Cambridge, UK.
He has been associated with academia at various levels for the last 20 years. Dr Ahmed is a chartered engineer from UK and also a fellow of Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK. He was awarded the title of European Engineer (Eur Ing) in 2002 by European Federation. He is a senior member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, USA. Dr Ahmed authored more than 100 research papers in the field of microelectronics. He holds IEEE technical activities chair and has rendered services as an organiser, session and general chairs of several IEEE International Conferences.-PR
