US Consul General Brian Heath officially inaugurated the Lincoln Corner at the Pakistan American Cultural Center (PACC). Also, in attendance were PACC President Fahim Millwala, Executive Director Arshad Nadeem and Cultural Programs Director Nasir Salim as well as Consulate Public Affairs Officer Mark Kendrick and Cultural Affairs Officer Li Ping Lo.
"The opening of the Lincoln Corner PACC not only advanced our relationship with the PACC but also the people of Pakistan," said Heath. "It will open doors to Pakistanis who want to learn more about America, explore study and exchange opportunities, and engage with Americans and alumni," he said. "This Lincoln Corner also provides visitors with state-of-the-art facilities in a vibrant and inspirational environment," said Consul General Heath. "Like any library in the United States, visitors will find books, magazines, films, computer terminals with free wifi access and a schedule of upcoming programs."
In the past two weeks, the Lincoln Corner PACC has organised two successful programs during its soft opening: an information session on online English-language courses and a seminar on intellectual property rights in Pakistan with prominent lawyers. Later this month, it will host a workshop on creating visual stories and graphic novels targeted at youth -PR
