Panasonic has released a firmware update for its cameras that allows certain models to sharpen the focus of an image after the photo has been taken, meaning you may never regret a wrongly focussed picture again.
Post Focus, which was announced a few months ago, has now been integrated into the Japan-based manufacturer's 4K photo/video system of the DMC-GX8 and the DMC-G70 models, as well as the DMC-FZ300 bridge camera.
The cameras allow a series of 30 images a second to be taken with the focus shifting between 50 areas. Once that is done, the photographer can switch to the touchscreen and pick which parts of the image should be in and out of focus. The camera then saves the photo in the desired format.
The Post Focus update will also be available for the DMC-GH4 system camera starting in 2016.
