The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has widened its scope of investigation against Dr Asim Hussain for giving registration to fake medical colleges with PMDC in return for heavy bribe. To obtain more proof, the NAB has also started investigation against Dr Amjad who was Registrar at Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) during the days of Dr Asim Hussain.
According to sources, the DG NAB Karachi has approached DG NAB in Rawalpindi. The sources said that on the direction of Dr Asim, Dr Amjad had registered a large number of fake medical colleges.
The sources said that Dr Amjad is now a day posted as head of the Children Hospital in PIMS. The NAB Rawalpindi has obtained an important proof from PMDC and investigation from Dr Amjad would be carried out on the basis of that record.
According to these sources, earlier Dr Amjad had tried for posting as Executive Director, Poly Clinic Islamabad but the then Minister of State CADD Barrister Usman had rejected the summary on the ground that there were serious allegations of corruption against him.
