Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that the tussle between the centre and the Sindh government would help terrorists. Talking to party workers at the funeral of JI senior worker Ashraf Butt, he said that if such a behaviour had been adopted by some other entity, all would have raised much hue and cry and labelled it terrorism.
Baloch said that peace in Karachi was essential for restoring normalcy. He urged Sindh government not to push the people of the port city towards bloodshed and chaos once again by giving protection to corruption.
The JI central leader welcomed the implementation on the agreement between the ruling parties in Balochistan. He said that Dr Abdul Ma'lik relinquished power in an honourable way while Sanaullah Zehri would be facing a big challenge.
He said the law and order in Balochistan had improved. He said that the federation, the provincial government, political and social leaders, the armed forces and security institution would have to be on the same page to end foreign interference and to restore the confidence of the Baloch people. He said the future of democracy in the country lay in the defeat of the foreign intrusion and restoration of peace.
