British High Commissioner Philip Barton met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations, and cooperation in different sectors, successful visit of Shahbaz Sharif to Britain was discussed in the meeting. British High Commissioner congratulated Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the success of his visit to Britain.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there are deep-rooted friendly relations and economic ties between Pakistan and Britain. He said that Britain is a big trade partner of Pakistan and economic cooperation between the two countries is enhancing. He said that increasing cooperation of Britain in education, health, skill development, security and other sectors is highly appreciable.
The Chief Minister said that his recent visit to Britain was the most successful tour of his political career and useful meetings were held with British ministers and senior authorities for the promotion of cooperation in education, health, security, infrastructure and other sectors.
