PIA employees stage sit-in

Employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) staged a sit-in protest outside PIA s city booking office under the leadership of Mehr Kalim Klasra, Mehr Qadar Bakhsh,Asad Mehmood Bukhari, Jawad Umar, Shahid Bilal Lashari shouted slogans against privatisation here on Monday. The protesting PIA employees urged the government to withdraw the decision of PIA privatisation immediately. PIA office-bearer Jawad Raza said that PIA CBA Union has decided to suspend all flight operations including domestic and international from all major cities and Multan would also follow this decision. All planes have been grounded in major cities and all the PIA offices at airports and booking offices will remain closed in protest, he said.
