The delegations of Republic Of Tajikistan and Pakistan met in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss matters pertaining to Bilateral Air Services Agreement (ASA) between the two countries. Tajikistan delegation informed that they wish to start direct flights from Dushanbe to Lahore and Islamabad and also requested five freedom traffic rights.
Pakistani side welcomed the delegation and discussed opportunities of trade, tourism and agreed to enhance people to people contact through air transport links between two countries.
From Pakistani side Secretary Aviation Muhammad Irfan Elahi, Director General CAA Air Marshal Asim Suleiman (Retd) and Director Air Transport Khawer Giyas participated in discussions. Tajikistan delegation was led by Ambassador of Tajikistan Sher Ali Jononov and Head of Department of Civil Aviation Muhammad Yusuf Azimovich. Both sides agreed to meet again for signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by January 2016 in Dushanbe after completing necessary formalities.-PR
