Attack on military police: sketches of suspected terrorist released

In a latest development in probe of attack on military police in Karachi, the investigation team has released two sketches of a suspected terrorist on Tuesday. According to sources, the two suspects were seen in Lines Area half hour before the attack on military police vehicle on December 1. They escaped from the MA Jinnah Road towards Lines Area after the attack. Reportedly, they were hiding the weapon in a pink shopping bag. Police told media they had discovered 9mm cartridge cases at the scene.
The MP's jeep was stuck in traffic on the main MA Jinnah Road when they came under attack from behind, according to officials. Police are frequently targeted by militants and criminal gangs in the volatile city of around 20 million, but attacks on the military are rarer.
