Clearing a computer screen of content that's not supposed to be there - like a game that's running when you're supposed to be working - can quickly be cleared thanks to an add-on called Panic Button that can be integrated into the Chrome browser.
Once installed, it just takes a single click of a mouse or button as your boss or your teacher approaches to open a more appropriate website. Users can pick their preferred go-to site.
The contents that were whisked away can still be accessed by checking out a temporary bookmark generated when Panic Button is used, regardless of how many tabs were open when the button was pushed.
They can be called back by pushing the button once the coast is clear.
Truly paranoid users can also have the function safeguarded with a password. The Panic Button add-on is also available for Firefox.
