Former Australian test cricketer, Dean Jones said on Monday that Pakistani immigration authorities sent him back to Duabi due to incomplete travel documents and he was not deported. "With the help of Pakistan mission in Dubai I completed my documents and travelled back to Pakistan after Pakistani immigration authorities showing responsibility identified my incomplete travel documents at Islamabad airport and informed me quickly about it," he told newsmen after players draft ceremony of the Pakistan Super League here at National cricket academy.
He said it was a wrong impression that he was deported from Pakistan and he was just sent back to Dubai to get his documents completed. The former Australian cricketer who is the head coach of Islamabad in the PSL praised the holding of the league and termed it very beneficial for Pakistan cricket.
"There is a lot of interest in Australian players to be a part of the league and I am sure next year more Australian players will join the fold of PSL," he asserted. Dean Jones praised the cricketing skills and talent of Pakistan captain Mishab ul haq and described him a "champion player" who has the potential to elevate the morale of a team to its maximum level. To a question, he said, PSL would benefit Pakistan cricket in many ways besides exposing the young home players to much needed high profile experience helping them to prepare for next years T-20 World Cup.
