The Chartered Accountants Students Association - South (CASA-S) organised CA Students Conference with a theme 'Unleash' in collaboration with the Southern Regional Committee of ICAP, here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, Hafiz Mohammad Yousaf, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, described his extraordinary experience as a chartered accountant through various stories.
He said that this was a remarkable alliance between a top ranking business school and the leading accountancy body of the country to strengthen the brand of the two partnering institutions. On the occasion, a speaker Irfan Amanullah, Senior General Manager, Attock Cement, gave a thorough insight on the topic 'what it takes to be ways to success in the education of Pakistan'. He emphasised on attainment of education as the key to transforming lives.
The conference was also addressed by Arsalan Larik, CEO and Founder, Trillion Private Limited, who highlighted the need to look beyond numbers by primarily engaging in activities that could be beneficial for the nation and mankind as a whole.
Adil Moosajee, Owner, Ego; Amin Nasrullah, HR Manager, Premier Group; Mir Muhammad Ali Khan, Chairman, AMZMAK Capital Ltd; Adnan Rizvi, Chairman CASA; Mohammad Zulfikar Akhtar, Chairman SRC; Shama Zahid; Adnan Mufti; Yasir Masood; Burhan Shah and Shuja Qureshi also shared their views. CASA was established in the year 1968, with an aim to bridge the communication and expectation gap between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the trainees of Chartered Accountant firms and to provide a platform to trainees to exhibit their hidden talents and prove their mettle by organising extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Since its formation, CASA has sailed through a rough, yet interesting path over the last 44 years as a society of students, elected by the students to serve their best interests.
