Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Wednesday held a meeting with traders and representatives of the business community at the FBR late Tuesday. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue, Haroon Akhtar, Chairman FBR and other FBR officials were also present on the occasion. The meeting reviewed progress of talks that have been held between the traders and the FBR during the past few months with the aim to facilitating the business community.
Both sides expressed satisfaction over their concerted efforts for devising a package for traders/business community including filers and non-filers. The meeting agreed that after completing necessary modalities, the package would be announced in the first week of January 2016.
The traders and businessmen paid gratitude to Dar and the FBR team for continued engagement with the business community with the aim to addressing their problems. They said that the decisions by both sides would Insha-Allah be received positively. Prominent business community representatives who attended the meeting included Naeem Mir, Secretary General APAT, Ajmal Baloch, President APAT, Chaudhry Mehboob Ali Sirki, President Anjuman-e-Tajaran Punjab, and Ateeq Mir from Karachi.-PR
