Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday deci-ded to intervene in ongoing confrontation between the federal and Sindh governments over the issue of Rangers' special powers. According to report, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq conveyed to the prime minister the reservations of the Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani. Nawaz Sharif decided to visit Karachi on December 28 to discuss the matters with the Sindh government regarding Rangers' special powers in Sindh. The prime minister would meet provincial chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
