Pakistan on Saturday expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in a hospital in Saudi Arabia's Jizan port city due to fire. "The news of tragic incident of the fire at the Jizan General Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia resulting in the loss of tens of precious lives and causing injuries to scores of people has been received in Pakistan with great grief and sorrow", Foreign Office said in a statement.
It stated that the government and people of Pakistan share the grief of the families of those who lost their dear ones and convey their deep condolences to them as well as to the brotherly government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "We pray for the early recovery of the injured", the statement added. Earlier, reports said that at least 25 people lost their lives while over 100 others received burn injuries after a fire broke out at a hospital in Jizan.
