Message from Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics

It gives me great pleasure to learn that in keeping with its past practice, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is organising the 39th Annual Export Trophy Awards ceremony to honour our exporters who performed exceedingly well during 2014-15.
With the passage of time, the FPCCI Export Trophy Awards have evolved from a token of acknowledgement of export acumen, to an entire institution for the recognition of outstanding performance in exports. The Awards undoubtedly provide encouragement to our exporters to achieve higher standards of quality and excellence to win acknowledgement from the country's apex body of trade and industry, and the accompanying increase in business possibilities. At the same time, the Awards also serve as a guarantee that the exporter concerned has received appreciation and approval from the premier trade body, which is very reassuring to international buyers located far away from Pakistan.
Indeed Pakistan being situated at the gateway of Central Asia and the Middle East can be a hub for international trade. Particularly with the advent of China-Pak-Economic Corridor (CPEC), business opportunities are bound to increase manifold. I call upon the business community to do its best in raising the country's exports in both traditional and non-traditional products for which we have immense potential.
