The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that all field offices will remain open on Wednesday (December 30) and Thursday (December 31) for receipt of Income Tax returns and collection of duties/taxes.
According to the FBR's instructions to the field formation here on Monday, all field offices will remain open and observe extended working hours ie 09:00 am to 10:00 pm on December 30, 2015 and from 09:00 am to 10:00 pm on December 31, 2015 for receipt of income tax returns and collection of duties/taxes. The Chief Commissioners are also requested to establish liaison with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to ensure transfer of tax collection by these branches before on or December 31, 2015 to the respective offices of the State Bank of Pakistan on the same date so as to account for the same towards the collection for the month of December, 2015, FBR added.
