Cabinet Division notifies appointment of Shehryar Afridi as Minister of State for Interior

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain, on the advice of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Friday appointed Shehryar Afridi as Minister of State.

The President made the appointment in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 92 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a notification issued by the Cabinet Division here said.

He will hold the portfolio of Interior as allocated by the Prime Minister in terms of rule 3(4) of the Rules of Business, 1973.

Shehryar Afridi has been administered the oath of office by the President on Friday (August 31, 2018), the notification added.
