The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared the allotment in Moon Garden flats Karachi lawful after examining and relying upon the Revenue department's report in the matter. Resuming the hearing of the matter, a three-member bench led by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said that according to Sindh government the land was allotted to the Moon Garden legally.
Earlier, the bench granted one day to the Karachi Development Authority to submit a reply in response to Revenue department's report in the case but the Authority's counsel failed to satisfy the court during the hearing. The KDA's Counsel sought further time in the case on the grounds that the Authority' administrator was abroad. Rejecting the plea for more time, the bench ruled that Revenue department had submitted the report saying any aggrieved party in the current matter could seek remedy from the concerned civil court. Later, the court dismissed the case.
