PPP leaders Engineer Mohammad Hamayun Khan and Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha have warned the federal government to avoid hoodwinking the people of the province in the name of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, PPP leaders demanded the redresssal of the apprehensions of the people in this regard with immediate effect.
PPP leaders also urged the government for bringing all facts regarding the project in forefront and removing of the reservations of all political parties including their party. They said that federal government could not deprive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of its rights and in case of any such move the reaction will be dangerous and sorrowful. They said that all those projects included in the eastern route of the economic corridor should also be included on route passing through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They further urged all political parties to adopt joint stand on the issue sans caring from any political affiliations.
