China has reiterated its support to Pakistan on counter terrorism and hoping that it will continue improving relations with India through peaceful way. When asked to comment on the two prime ministers' telephonic contacts on January 5 concerning the attack on the Indian air force base, a spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying said they have noted the report.
"The Chinese side welcomes all efforts that help improve Pakistan-India relations and supports the two sides in enhancing counter terrorism cooperation. As a neighbour and friend to both Pakistan and India, China sincerely hopes that the two sides can calmly and properly address the relevant issue through dialogues and cooperation, sustain the momentum of improvement in bilateral ties and work together to promote regional stability and development," she added.
