Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Ahmed Shah Saturday said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would take the Parliament into confidence on Monday over Pakistan's policy on Saudi-Iran tension. Talking to media persons here, the opposition leader said the Prime Minister would hopefully inform the parliamentarians of Pakistan's efforts for reconciliation between the two Muslim countries.
He said Pakistan was a victim of terrorism and in a state of war against terrorists. The government should take further steps to root out the menace from the country. Daesh (Arabic acronym for militant Islamic State group) etcetera, did not exist here. Same terrorist operatives used different banners to carry out terror acts, he added. To a question, Khursheed Shah reiterated that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) had already expressed reservations over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The party, he said, stood with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and other parties, who were skeptical over the distribution of funds being invested under the CPEC.
