National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has dismissed its Deputy Director Sukkur from service for his involvement in fake Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) case. In view of media reports, Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan had taken notice and directed the Chairman NADRA to complete an inquiry into fake CNIC case and present a report within a week.
The alleged officer by misusing his authority had obtained three CNICs each for his family members illegally in 2012. During era of previous government, this case of fake CNIC was detected but no action was taken against the officer. As per directions of the Minister, the then Director General NADRA of Sindh has also been issued notice.
