All arrangements have been finalised for the three-day Hunar Mela, to be held at PIA Planetarium in Hayatabad from Friday (today). Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) is holding the event for the skilled entrepreneurs to showcase their products to enhance income. The event is aimed at holding activities for fun along with business opportunities to encourage skilled folk especially females to market their products.
Artisans have been invited from all the regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stalls have been established for them to showcase their skills and talents at the event. The artisans' stalls include handicrafts, embroidery, Taghar work, Bannu Royal Khaadi, stone carving, Peshawari caps, wax painting, metal work, wood carving, artwork, calligraphy, ring making, sitar making, Chitrali Patti, Gandhara Art, Drooza chappal, Sarghashay, Charsadda chapal, maizaray work, Karawa work, Sarkha, Dandas, Parunay, pottery work, blacksmith work, Hazara Jisti Shawl and Moti work and many other items. The stalls for the traditional and local food and cuisine have also been established besides concert, traditional dances and activities like food competitions, magic, puppet and juggler shows, games, art exhibitions and kids play area.
