Users exasperated as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram break down
Social media users were left annoyed after popular sites including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger went down.
The social media breakdown that occurred yesterday sent users across the globe into a frenzy. Since these sites are amongst the most visited, within an hour angered users took to Twitter to find out about the issue that crashed both mobile and desktop version of the apps.
Where some users were reported facing issues with signing in, posting, commenting and updating Facebook newsfeed, other had trouble accessing Facebook Messenger. Instagram users too claimed that they were unable to access recent posts, whereas WhatsApp users said they couldn’t connect, send or receive messages, reported The Sun.
Okay so Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook has collectively gone down.
That's it, folks. This is the Apocalypse. Welcome to the end of days. Zombie Outbreak bound to happen any minute now.

For some users Facebook showed the error that read, “Your account is currently unavailable due to site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.” While, another one read, “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”
Instagram’s website too showed a similar message that said, “We couldn’t connect to Instagram. Make sure you’re connected to the internet and try again.” Restarting of the apps, or deleting and re-downloading them too couldn’t solve the issue. But luckily, not all of the people were affected by the breakdown.
As per Down Detector, users across Europe, Northeastern America, South America, the Philippines, India and northern Africa were affected the most with the problem initiating around 04:48pm ET. By 07:00pm ET most of the problem appeared to have been resolved, however, it’s still not clear what caused the outbreak, as per Daily Mail.
