Divisional Director Information Hyderabad Khurshid Ali Shaikh has said that journalists' pen is the last ray of hope of the nation which transfers generation to generation while journalistic norms and ethics stress upon writing truth. This he said while speaking at the 2nd day session of a five-day electronic media course on 'Human Believes and Practice of Sufism to counter extremism,' organised by the Women Media Centre and the National Endowment for Democracy at a hotel on Tuesday.
Addressing to the women journalists of training course, Khurshid Shaikh underlined the need to work hard and make people realised that women of our country are equally talented and capable of doing challenging jobs as well. He also urged for utilising a weapon of media for resolving people issues. He said women could maintain their credibility among masses by writing truth.
Addressing at the occasion, Ms Fauzia Shaheen of Women Media Centre briefed about the aims and objectives of training programme. She also informed that in order to provide field experience to female mass communication graduates, Women Media Centre organises such programmes at country level and 2200 women of all provinces of Pakistan had been provided such training.
