The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PYI) party in the Punjab has accused the government of attempting to run the Parliament by remote control, instead of by the law of the land. "With the enforcement of an amnesty scheme to convert black money into white money, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is trying to weaken the Parliament," claimed former party organiser Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar as he talked to a delegation led by former member of the Punjab Assembly Mehar Muhammad Saleem, and party leaders Chaudhary Ahmad Saleem and Rana Asif Tauseef at his office on Friday.
The opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed, was also present. He claimed his party had been playing a true role of the opposition. "The persistent power breakdowns have sealed the government failures as the whole country is plunging into darkness," he added. He also accused the rulers of giving nothing but gas and power outages, rising prices and joblessness and then claimed his party would form the next government in the country.
