Laiba Ijaz and Komal will clash in the final of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Girls Squash Championship being played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Friday. The final will be played on Saturday at 3.00 pm Former World Champion and Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation also witnessed the two semi-finals won by Laiba Ijaz and Komal.
In the first semi-final top seed Komal defeated Naima Khalid in a thrilling match witnessed by capacity crowd present on this occasion. Komal took the first set by 11-9 and failed to click in the second won by Naima Khalid by 10-12. After conceding the second set, Komal strike back and marched into victory at 11-9 and 11-8. Komal has better combination of drops and length shorts and giving no room to get back. In the other semi-final Laiba Ijaz defeated Kainat in a three sets battle, the score was 11-4, 11-3 and 11-5. Laiba Ijaz took no time in toppling her rival Kainat in three sets and marched into victory to face Komal in the final to be played on Saturday.
