The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has reportedly identified one of the attackers of Bacha Khan University carnage as Ameer Rehman, a resident of South Waziristan. According to the data available in Nadra record and the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) issued to Rehman, the terrorist belonged to Sararogha, South Waziristan Agency as per the permanent address given on his CNIC.
Rehman, who was killed by security forces in an operation ensued after the terrorists' attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, obtained CNIC from Nadra in which his date of birth was mentioned as January 3, 1988.
On January 20, four heavily armed terrorists launched attack on Bacha Khan University, killing 22 while injuring 20 others before they were killed by the security forces.
