German auto-component maker Bosch has taken the wraps off an in-car personal assistant which guides a vehicle to a vacant space in a car-park or in street-side parking. The parking device is part of a set of digital controls which also acts as a guardian angel on the road, warning against wrong-way driving, said Bosch. The company showed the technology in a Jeep Cherokee at the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
But the maker does not expect it to be ready for production until 2020. Drivers will operate the gadget via a touch-screen.
