The Lahore Polo Club has arranged the Riding Gala 2016 in which club members and families and their children took part on Sunday. Abdul Waris clinched the first position in the ball and bucket competition while Ahsan Ali stood second and Bazil Khokhar third. In barrel race, Bazil was the winner while Ahsan Ali the runner-up. Faris Noor-ud-din came third. Wasif Jalil and Abdul Adil won the musical chair and handkerchief competitions, respectively.
In the low-jumping competition, Husnain Ali secured the first position, Ali Haider second and Jawad Kamal third while in the high jumping, the first position went to Bazil Khokhar, the second to Zainul Abidin, and the third to Haider Nafees.
Prominent among a children's march-past sitting on horses were Fatima Mohsin Naqvi, Sakeena Fahad and Samar Saeed, while in the riding march past, the children took part.
Abdul Qadeer Khokhar and Faisal Qadeer Khokhar were chief guests while club President Irfan Ali Hyder, Secretary Shoaib Aftab, the International Olympic Committee member in Pakistan and a former club chief, Syed Shahid Ali Shah, and executive committee members Umar Saeed Niazi and Ali Malik also present.
