Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchant Association's (PCDMA) chairman Khawaja Arif has urged the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to review customs valuation prices of all imported goods in accordance with the prices prevailing in the international market.
Hailing the customs department's decision of revising valuation prices of imported goods keeping in view the prices prevailing in the international market after two years, he said that there is need to revise the valuation prices of some other items which remained unchanged, so far. He said that the association has been consistently pressing the customs department for revising valuation prices of all imported goods in accordance with the prices prevailing in the international market. "Although the customs department has revised valuation prices of imported goods on the demand of the PCDMA, still the valuation price of some of the items remain unchanged," he added.
