"People recognise ideas with colours. Every colour has its own wavelength and frequency and the effect of art also travels in the same manner." This was stated by Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Acting Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh in his presidential remarks at a seminar on "Contemporary Trends in Pakistani Art" organised by Institute of Art & Design, University of Sindh.
He said that Universe is a piece of art of the nature and the artist, who portrays it, concentrates to trace out of the foot prints, takes pain of creation. The students and teachers of art should focus their attention over discovering the colours of nature. At the seminar, Professor Dr Javed Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Arts, renowned artists Nilofur Farrukh, Yamni Nasir Chaudhry, Roohi Ahmed, Muhammad Zeshan, Waheeda Baloch, and Professor Ghulam Ali Buriro also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Professor Naimat Khilji, Director IAD, welcomed the guests. A large number of students and faculty members attended the seminar.
