The Indus Motor Company has signed an agreement with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab enabling them to sponsor the 11th Cholistan Jeep Rally. The signing ceremony took place in Lahore which also drew in top company and corporation officials. The rally will be a three-day off-road adventure event to be held between February 12 and 14 in the Cholistan Desert.
About the rally, Ali Asghar Jamali, Indus Motor Chief Operating Officer said on Friday, "Motor sports are gaining popularity among enthusiasts in Pakistan. Such events showcase history and rich culture to the outside world and promote tourism. This competition will help gauge the driving skills of car enthusiasts and the performance and durability of their vehicles in extreme conditions." The rally will be divided into sections such as vehicle inspection on day one, qualifying round, Hilux Cup and Stock Main Race on day two and pro-category main race on day three.
