Rawalpindi Islamabad Tax Bar Association here on Thursday organised a function on the occasion of 75th year of Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue. The event was arranged in honour of members of Tribunal IR. President of RITBA, Tauqeer Bukhari Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan welcomed the guests including Chairman and members of Tribunal IR.
Highlighting history and formation of the Appellate Tribunal, President RITBA explained that the ATIR lately named ITAT was formed in 1941. He also explained the long journey of ATIR, its first chairman, history, members, ATIR working and other details of the working of the Tribunal.
Besides, tax practitioners and lawyers, the function was attended by Javed Iqbal, Chairman Tribunal; Shahid Manzar Bhatti, Member Judicial; Ikram Ullah Ghori, Member Judicial; Riaz Ahmed, Accountant Member; Majid Qureshi Accountant, Syed Tauqeer Bukhari Advocate President, Faraz Fazal Sheikh Secretary General Tax Bar Association.
