The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four welfare schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 1373.36 million. These schemes were approved in the 25th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
1. Restructuring / revamping and strengthening of Punjab Economic Research Institute at the cost of Rs 300.182 million,
2. Technical and financial proposals for hiring of General Consultant to prepare (PC-II) (i) Fidic based bidding document for constructors, (ii) Prequalification & Evaluation Criteria for constructors and consultants, (iii) International Standard Specifications in Consonant with PPRA and Punjab Government Rules for Construction of Roads, Bridges & Buildings at the cost of Rs 32.088 million,
3. Construction of bridge over the river Tavi at Said Pur Pattan i/c approaches of bridge in Sialkot. (Revised) at the cost of Rs 414.584 million and
4. Rehabilitation / widening (from 10' to 12') of Road from Pull 14 to Dajal Road length=22.90 km, D.G. Khan at the cost of Rs 294.236 million.
