Director, Sports and Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Miss Rashida Ghaznavi has said that All-Pakistan Grand Youth Carnival with the name of Mega Challenge (MC-16) will be organised at Qayyum Sports Complex from March 5-6, 2016. Accompanied by Director Youth Arshad Hussain, she said that as desired by Secretary Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs KP Azam Khan like MC-2013 and 2015, this time MC under the aegis of Liaison Corporation the event will be organised on All-Pakistan level and youth from other provinces will also be part of the MC-16.
Giving complete detail about the MC-16, she said that they have five different events in different dates for the whole years. The event comprising Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange Program, Youth Carnival (MC-16), Culture Overseas Program (Hum Jawan), Soft Scholar Training Program and Adventure Trip for Youth. She said that the youth will thoroughly be interviewed and their academic qualifications will be scrutinized before short-listing them for any of the overseas visit. She said the Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange Program includes three different visits for youth, both male and female to Lahore, Karachi, Gilgit, Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
She disclosed that the first visit is scheduled for Lahore on January 30 where a total of 15 males and females will be going, followed by a trip to Karachi on February 6, 2016 while the visit for Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be held on February 15. It is for the first time that the biggest event of the country "The MC-16" will be organised in March this year wherein youth from across country will come and participate, she informed.
