Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Moula Bux Chandio has said that a opposition grand alliance made against the PPP would not be able to harm it (PPP) as such alliances were also formed in the past but they were always rejected by the people of Sindh. He said this while speaking on the occasion of the 26th death anniversary of PPP leader Aftab Shoro held at Khandu near from here, on Sunday.
"Except PML-F leaders, all other leaders of the alliance lost their credibility among the people due to their anti-Sindhi agendas," he claimed.
He further said that the death anniversary of Shoro is held on January 18 every year but this year it was postponed due to local government elections.
The advisor said that the PPP leaders and their workers had made many sacrifices for the cause of democracy and development of people in the country and such sacrifices had not been rendered by any political leader so far.
Lyari is stronghold of the PPP and everyone knows this fact very well and the party has dissociated Uzair Baloch for his affiliation and involvement in criminal activities, he added.
Law and order and peace in Karachi had been restored by co-ordinated efforts of rangers and police, he said, adding that the tenure of Rangers would be extended soon.
Some people are raising the issue of extension for hatching a conspiracy against the Sindh government, he said.
On the occasion, Senator Taj Haider said that young generation would lead the PPP now.
"The PPP is party of peasants and workers and its leadership would take every step to save their interests," he asserted.
Senator Shazia Mari said that the collection of Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) is Rs183 billion and of total, the share of Sindh is Rs137 billion.
She claimed that a hospital with all facilities was being established in Thar where people from other districts would come for treatment.
