KARACHI: Mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar congratulated Arif Alvi on becoming the President of Pakistan and expressed his hope that Alvi would serve better as the president of the country.
He said the nation have lots of expectations from the new president and "We are sure that he will play his role in the progress of the country especially Karachi," said a statement on Wednesday.
