The country's total liquid foreign exchange reserves continued to move downward, falling by $226 million during last week. According to State Bank of Pakistan's weekly report issued Thursday, Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves stood at $20.276 billion as on January 29, 2016 down from $20.502 billion as on January 22, 2016. During the week under review, SBP's liquid foreign exchange reserves decreased by $212 million to $15.435 billion compared to $15.647 billion in the previous week. Similarly, reserves held by banks fell by $15 million to $4.84 billion at the end of last week.
