PIA workers stage demonstration

The workers of Pakistan International Airlines in collaboration with local trade unions, NBP employees Union, Railway Union and traders staged a big demonstration at city terminal and observed a sit-in. The flight operation of PIA remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day on Friday, as more than 300 flights have been cancelled since Tuesday.
The demo was led by Joint Action Committee leaders Mehr Kaleem Klasra, Mehr Qadar Bakhsh, Syed Asad Mehmood Bukhar, Jawad Umar, Ghulam Fareed and Bilal Lashari. The travel chaos in the country has left Umrah aspirants in suffering, prompting them to protest outside airports in Karachi and other cities.
