Ticket-less travellers: Railways recovers Rs 13 million as fine

Pakistan Railways, Karachi Division, recovered a sum of Rs 13 million as fine from the ticket-less passengers last month from Karachi Division. A Railways official said in a statement here on Friday that the fines were recovered during surprise raids at various trains. The drive to this effect was carried out on the directive of the Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO), Pakistan Railways Karachi Division, Nasir Nazeer. He termed the drive as a big success in the efforts against the ticket-less travelling. The DCO also requested the passengers not to travel without tickets, the statement added.
