Federal Minister for Commerce, Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan said that privatisation of state entities going in loss was aimed at lessening burden on national exchequer and government is committed to privatize all such entities. Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of Photo Journalists Association, Gujranwala here on Sunday, Engr. Khurram Dastagir said that the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will be turned into a profitable organisation.
The Commerce Minister said about six hundred billion rupees are paid every year to meet losses of the state enterprises.
The Minister said the PIA matter is part of the government's economic reforms programme, which will be implemented to make it a profitable organisation.
