President-elect Arif Alvi visits family of martyred Capt Tauqir

ISLAMABAD: President-elect Dr Arif Alvi Thursday visited the family of martyred Captain Tauquir Akhtar here in connection with the Defence of Pakistan Day to pay tribute to those who had sacrificed their lives for the country.

During his interaction with the family of the martyred army officer, the president-elect said the sacrifices of the martyred would be remembered forever.

"We will not evade from any sacrifice for Pakistan because we love Pakistan," he remarked.

Dr Alvi also prayed for peace of the departed soul.
