Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasir bin Khalifa Al-Thani Wednesday witnessed a spectacular air show of JF-17 Thunder and Super Mashshak aircraft here at Doha Airbase. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, who was also accompanying the Prime Minister on a two-day official visit to Qatar, members of royal family along with officials of Qatari air force, military officials and contingent of Pakistan Air Force also witnessed the air show.
Two each of JF-17 Thunder and Super Mashshak aircraft carried out a spectacular static and aerial display that enthralled the spectators. They took keen interest in various loops, quarters and smoke generation of the aircraft that made a beautiful view.
The JF-17 Thunder was flown by Squadron Leader Jawad while Super Mashshak was flown by Wing Commander Shahryar of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra. It was a historic occasion when both the indigenously produced Pakistani aircraft were flown in the skies of Qatar for the first time. It was expected that the activity would strengthen existing bilateral relations between the two countries and take it to further heights.
