The Special Committee of the Cabinet on disposal of legislative cases headed by Law Minister, Pervez Rashid, is to meet on Thursday (today) to resolve 16 cases of different Ministries including amendment in Banks (Nationalisation) Act. The six-member committee will also consider different Bills tabled in the Senate and National Assembly.
According to official documents, the following cases will come under consideration: (i) The draft Pakistan Marine Insurance Bill, 2014(Commerce Ministry); (ii) enhancement in denomination value of postal orders-amendment in sections 45 of Post Office Act, 1898 (Act No VI of 1898)(Communication Division); (iii) Draft carriage of goods by Road Bill, 2015(Communication Division); (iv) The Cost and Management Accountants (Amendment) Bill, 2014 (Finance Division) ;(v) amendment in Banks (Nationalisation) Act, 1974(Finance Division); (vi) prohibition on improvised explosive devices (manufacture, possession, acquisition, facilitation finance, transfer on use) Bill,2015 (Interior Division);(vii) The constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015, moved by Munaza Hassan, MNA;(viii) The Constitution (amendment) Bill, 2015 moved by Senator Zaheer ud Din Babar Awan(Law Division); (ix) draft bill for the establishment of the National Food Security, Animal & Plant Health Regulatory Authority - approval in principle (National Food Security and Research Division) ;(x) approval of draft Federal Health Care Regulation Bill, 2015;(National Health Services, Regulation & Co-ordination Division);(xi) Members Election Commission (Salary, allowances, perks and privileges) Bill, 2015(Parliamentary Affairs);(xii) draft bill for the establishment of Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) (Science and Technology Division) ;(xiii) approval, in principle, of the bill for the establishment of Pakistan Council for Renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET);(Science and Technology Division) ;(xiv) The Pakistan Engineering Council (Amendment) Bill, 2014(Science and Technology Division);(xv) approval in principle, of the Draft bill for the establishment of Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC)(Science and Technology Division) and ;(xvi) amendment in the Rulers of Acceding States (Abolition of Privy Purses and Privileges) Order 1972 (President's Order No 15 of 1972).
