Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has contradicted a news item captioned "FBR may grant immunity from income tax audit for 2014", calling the news report unfounded and baseless. There is no proposal under consideration to grant such an immunity as reported in the news report and hence any speculation or attribution in this regard is incorrect and misleading.
